The principal colors are blood-red, yellow, and blueish. The primary colors are the ground for all other colors. You cannot practice annihilation to mix blue, yellow, or red. They merely exist.

Complementary Colors in Art

Complementary colors in fine art are opposite each other on the color cycle. They create a lot of contrast in art. Expect around in the world, and you lot will be surprised how oft complementary colors are used. What are the sets of complementary colors? The bones complementary color pairings are red and green, royal and yellow, and orange and blue.

Warm and Cool Colors in Art

Warm colors are the colors reddish, orange, and yellowish. They are bright and pop out. They create energy and excitement in an artwork. Blue and greenish are cool colors. These cool colors create a calming energy in an artwork. Violet/majestic can be both warm and cool depending on how much red or how much blue is in the violet.
